My everything
I printed a picture of us that was taken almost a year and a half ago. Pretty soon it will be two years since we reconnected and started talking. Time flies when you're madly in love with someone. I'll put the picture somewhere. Maybe by my bed, maybe by my desk. I just want to remember you and that day with you that was so perfect. If only I'd made you mine when I could have, we would have had so many perfect days together.
I always thought she was special, and I always thought highly of her. She's made of something different. Other women simply don't compare. She's a rare thing, a thing of beauty.
Every single day I count myself blessed she made a meteor strike in my heart, a great cavern in my chest. When she tore into me, I knew I'd never be the same. And I never want to go back to what I was like before. I've seen true beauty, and I cannot forget it.
I felt things for her I never thought I'd feel. I saw things in her I never thought I'd see in a woman. Her words are imprinted on my mind and my heart forever. She's changed me. I've learned so much from her. I thank God every day that I had a brief love affair with her. What a wonderful woman, she still takes my breath away.
I've simply run out of words to describe her. I keep repeating myself like a dumb bird squawking away at dusk. My heart cries out for her; I long to continue what we started, but it is not to be. Oh, if I could just hold her. I'd hold her next to me forever; I'd never let go.
I've been through some hard things in my love life. I've faced unbelievable pain and humiliation. I've shackled myself to a woman who couldn't have been worse for me. I know what love should not look like. And, now, I know what love should look like. For this, I am truly blessed. I'm blessed beyond all men because I've seen the heart of this woman naked before me.
So, thank you, my dear, for showing me what a real woman looks like, how a real woman loves, how a real woman prays.
Thank you, God, for allowing me to know her for a brief moment. I cannot thank you enough for letting me see her, to know her, to understand her. She's a gift to anyone who beholds her. To me, just for a moment, she was my everything.
