A prayer for my friend
My friends, if you have time and the inclination, will you pray with me? My dear friend is in a dreadful spot. She needs a way out. She needs a door to open. My friends, she is stuck and hurting.
Pray with me, if you will.
Heavenly Father, we lift up to you my friend Cindy. Lord, she is hurting. She despairs of life. Many unfair circumstances persist in her life. And she is unable to move forward, though she desperately wants to. She is laden with heavy burdens too heavy to bear. Lord, you know Cindy, and you know she is kind, one of the kindest of your creation. She is a special woman, and we ask that you show her your special plan for the rest of her life. We lift her up to you in prayer and supplication. We ask that you station your angels around her and her family to always protect them from the attacks of the enemy. We also know she is very hard on herself. Remind her you can do so much with a broken vessel, perhaps more than one that is whole. Pour your love into her and let it flow out. We ask that you take away the guilt and shame and replace them with the peace that passes understanding. Take away the self-condemnation and replace it with your love. Take away the self-flagellation and replace it with the deep kindness that is in your Word. We ask that she feel your forgiveness and truly know it. And please remove the heavy burdens from her. Replace it with your burden, which is light and easy to bear.
The incredible depression that is upon her, we ask that you lift it and replace it with your agape love, kindness, joy, peace, and lightness. We ask that you touch her with your love, wrap her up in your arms, and speak peace into the storm she is caught in. We pray for an end to this long war she is going through. We ask for the resolution you want for her situation, and we ask that speedily. Lord, she is under heavy attack from the enemy. We plead the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ upon her and her family, her job, possessions, home, finances, and relationships, as well as all future forms of those things. We pray you open the door for her that you want her to walk through and give her the peace and boldness to walk through it. Remove whatever holds her captive in that hollow place. Take her forward with you, Lord. Hold her hand.
We lift her up to you and pray for swift, decisive action. She is your child, and she is hurting. Please send your angels to mend her heart, pick up the pieces, and put her back together. Lord, open her eyes so she can see your many blessings. Help her feel your love right now. Let it sink into every part of her being, right down to the cellular level. We pray for your healing in her life. Mend what needs to be mended. Deliver her from the attacks of the enemy. Save her from depression, despair, and hopelessness.
We ask for angels to fiercely defend, protect, and fight for her. When the battles are too hard and the days are too long, uphold her and go before her, throwing the enemy to the side. We pray for victory today and tomorrow and the rest of her life, as well as in her children's lives.
Heavenly Father, we thank you for your many blessings. Every day you give us is a blessing. We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus, and we thank you for always giving us the victory. We pray for that right now for our friend Cindy.
Whatever is preventing her from moving forward, we ask that you remove it. Whatever is preventing her from having peace, please take it away. We ask that you lead your dear child Cindy in the direction you have for her, to a wide-open place of victory and safety. Let her feel your presence every day. And gently guide her, Lord, into a new, beautiful period of her life. So much awaits her there. Please remove whatever is resisting her from moving into it.
Please place your power, help, aid, comfort, and strength in her. Give her a new heart to accept the path you've chosen for her. If not that, then please change the hearts of those around her or the circumstances in her life. We know you don't ask that we be perfect, only that we try to be obedient. Your patience with us is amazing. Also, we know sometimes you allow us to go through things so we know how to pray for others in the same situations. And everything we go through can be useful and for your purposes. It is all according to your plan. We ask for massive blessings for Cindy and her family a way out of this trap, a way to land flowing with milk and honey and perpetual blessings, and quickly. Let there be good and welcome changes on the way. Please deliver her from any and all bondage. Let her be completely free to serve you.
We ask for sufficient godly spirits to accomplish all of these things. If anything we prayed is not your will, Lord, please cancel it out. Heavenly Father, we ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Thank you for praying. And God bless.
