In case you hadn't heard enough of COVID-19

For months now, I've been watching the COVID-19 pandemic unfold. Initially, I thought people were underestimating it, that we (the U.S.) should close its borders, etc. Now I'm starting to see things that make me worried in a different way. 

Something doesn't add up. The news stories of "war zone" hospital scenes are not corroborated by people on the ground. People have gone to those supposed war zone hospitals that are desperately saving lives while untold numbers are dying amidst the chaos, cameras in hand, filming, and are finding ... nothing of the sort. The hospitals are mostly empty. If there are "tent cities" set up, they are mostly empty too. I've been wondering for a long time which way we were being lied to. I mean, China has no new cases of coronavirus just a few months after it all started, yet they're telling us to prepare for 18 months of this crap in the U.S.? And Wuhan residents say the incinerators are "working round the clock"? Why have 20 million government-mandated cell phone contracts been cancelled in China since January? Were deaths and mayhem under-reported or over-reported? Regardless, how will people know what is going on when they are quarantined and can't leave their homes to investigate? Rhode Island is going door to door, rounding up New Yorkers who don't want to be in the city and would rather be in their second homes? The New York mayor is threatening to sue Rhode Island now? What on earth. Things are changing so rapidly, who knows what will happen next. Clearly, this isn't only about a virus anymore. There are other issues also at play.

The quarantine/lockdown response seemed like overkill to me, especially when all the "experts" were saying "just get a flu shot." The justification just wasn't there, yet (nearly) everyone complied. Historically, quarantines were for sick people, not healthy people. This is an unprecedented response to what now appears to be ... something that is not what we were told it was. Are people being kept inside because something else is going down? Well, some of us are staying inside, as this map shows. By the way, the government wants our cell phone data so they can track who is complying with quarantines. They can be trusted with that data, right?

Our president just mobilized one million soldiers. We've seen the complete suspension of the Constitution in whole states, and spreading rapidly. And the change agents on social media are telling everyone not to worry. Just comply. We'll get through this and will find a ... "new normal." If I hear that term one more time, I'm going to scream. Then there is this story from RT. This isn't just a virus. The rhetoric is war, through and through. And the war may very well be on our freedoms. We'll come out of our homes eventually. But the world we knew will not be there anymore. That's the plan. 

These events were predicted. Many sources reflect that. I could post a lot of that here. The Rockefeller Foundation detailed possible scenarios for the "future of technology and international development." Number 18 looks familiar. It basically says a pandemic will be used to institute more authoritarian control. Check. Bill Gates has been predicting this scenario for years. I should note that both the Rockefeller Foundation and the Gates family have eugenicist roots.

Yes, this whole thing is unprecedented. Not the virus (we'll all be exposed to it before it's done just like every other virus). I'm not scared of the virus. A lot of people who tested positive for it didn't even know they had it. I am scared of how it is being used to dismantle freedom around the world. The whole country of India is on lockdown. How is that even possible? More authoritarian leadership. And a boot stamping on a human face ... forever. And if guys in fatigues knocking on your door questioning you about where you've been isn't enough, people are snitching on their neighbors who don't comply with social distancing rules. Fines are being instituted. Jailtime. Hey, buddy, it's for your good. I've heard talk of them letting prisoners out of prison because the prisoners are afraid of the virus. That makes sense, right? That would make all of our lives safer. Insanity is running the world. 

We'll look back on this in a few years and wonder why or how it all happened. Why did we let them do that? Oh, but they're sending us some checks. Which we'll all pay for in skyrocketing inflation for decades to come. And all the corporations we bailed out will surely thank us somehow. Maybe they'll give us some free cruises. And how much are we paying in unemployment? Ugh. 

I can speculate on the different bad scenarios that await us if this continues. Economic collapse? A breakdown in law and order? Martial law in response to those scenarios? What we have already is a soft sort of martial law. There are too many bad possible scenarios. There is one possible good scenario. People push back. People say, "no" to all of this. But the media war will destroy them; they'll be shamed back into their homes, right? Not necessarily. If God's people turn to Him right now and do those four things (If my people, who are called by my name shall humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will heal their land), this whole thing could turn around. Things looked pretty bleak in Esther's day, too, but God brought about a mighty victory, destroying the enemies of the Jews in the process. Amazing things happen when God's people are obedient and prayerful. That's my hope. My prayer is that God puts off judging this country another 50 years. I want to see my son grow up and maybe have kids of his own. Do you have similar hopes? Are you with me?

Are people dying? Yes, certainly. Are we being lied to somehow? Also yes. The media's job is to direct (or misdirect) our attention. Everything in the book 1984 has come true. Life has become a nightmare. Will we wake up? That is my prayer. For the record, I hope I'm wrong about all of this. I hope I'm woefully uninformed. I welcome that scenario.

Before I sign off, let me say I'm not trying to make anyone panic. (Unless panic sends you to God. In that case, panic like you've never panicked before.) The current pandemic is a tool. But if that tool makes you go in the right direction, all of us could be saved. Will you put your trust in your government to save you or God? I'm not telling people to ignore their government's demands right now, much as I would never tell a drug addict to stop taking their pills (yes, those are kinda similar). Do what God tells you to do.
